All Adults Interested in Learning Hebrew - Open to the Public
The month of Tishrei is over, with its packed schedule of High Holidays (Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur) and subsequent holidays (Sukkot, Shmini Atzeret, Simchat Torah). We can now bring our attention back to offering Adult Hebrew courses to our membership, friends, neighbors, and residents of the greater Fox Valley area.
Temple B'nai Israel (TBI) is offering Fall 2015 and Spring 2016 Hebrew Courses at Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Levels. Courses are open to the entire local community and are designed for participants of all faiths, ages 10 and up (exceptions can be made for younger children who attend classes together with their parents). Each course is presented in 20 hours of classroom time. This is a nice opportunity for parents and/or children to take their Hebrew skills to the "next" level, and learn more about this wonderful and holy language.
20-hour courses are planned for being offered in our Early Sunday morning schedule of 7:15 am to 9:15 am. We may also choose to offer an abbreviated introduction to Hebrew 5-hour courses in a Late Sunday morning schedule, 9:15-9:45 am. This course would be primarily geared toward parents of children in our Religious school - mostly to teach the aleph-bet.
Class dates are scheduled for 7:15 AM - 9:15 AM on the following Sunday mornings:
|Month||Dates in Month||Comments|
|October||25||Refresher and Class|
|November||1, 8, 15, 22|
|January||10, 17, 24, 31*||* Make-up|
For each class, teachers & students may adjust scheduling to suit mutual availability.
